D Acres Press Release

Dorchester, New Hampshire September 2008 - Bethlehem business women Corey Calaio & Susan Lucas of Peace of Infinity Holistics travels to Dorchester to speak at Wellness conference. A top a picturesque sustainable farm, D Ares teaches healthy living to the community. The conference went beyond organic and sustainable life choices to Energetic Healing.

The lifestyles of many people today is inundated with HMO’s, GMO’s , and a frantic rat race to make enough money to pay for oil for the fast approaching winter. The weekend was a break in that tide. Using education of herbal remedies, wellness maintenance, sustainable farming, meditation, yoga and energetic healing; the attendees benefited from the positive course of action. The importance of nurturing and healing the body mind and spirit as a whole, themed the weekend.

Calaio and Lucas spoke on healing the body mind and spirit through Reiki and using intuition in everyday life. The course focused on the energy that comprises the human body and the innate ability all people have to learn from that energy. The demonstration included several ways to open the door listening to the body. Calaio points out to the class “Intuition is your natural ability to choose how you will live.” Lucas further explains “Truly listening will aid you in choices of doctors, life plans, raising your children; right down to what nutrition your body is asking for.”

Calaio and Lucas will be speaking and demonstrating through out New England in the coming year about Intuition , Energetic healing, & the Mind Body Connection. They will continue to introduce their unique approach to the community through low cost meditation group sessions.

The Mind Body Connection

On a beautiful sunny summer morning, I awaited my first client of the day. I practice Energy work with Hypnosis at a Holistic Collective in a small town nestled in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. A tall lean woman walked through door. She was the picture of health, it would seem. As we began our session it was very clear that her terrible deep stomach pain caused from an ulcer was in fact guilt eating at her center. Years of repression of a small incident that caused her guilt began a snowball effect of physical ailments that have begun to break her digestive and immune system down. With in her relaxing session she was able to see the link between her emotional and physical bodies. The acknowledgement begins her process to heal.
Our mind and emotions are a vast well, in which influences how we communicate, react in life and the overall well being of our physical health. The ability to know the emotional body and acceptance of the true self can dramatically affect how you heal your body and how happy you are in your life.
To begin looking within yourself and locating the emotion that is associated with a physical aliment takes some quiet time spent with yourself. You can begin by closing your eyes in a light meditation and isolating the pain that you feel; then placing an emotion on the pain. For example, pain and numbness in the right hand. After a few moments of thought the pain is associated with giving too much, and as the pain goes into numbness the emotion of resentment comes in. We are not text books and your body and mind will speak its own language. Although there are common aliments associated with emotions, the best way for you to understand your connection is to listen to what your mind and body is saying.
Everyday we live life experiences, pleasant or not so pleasant. These experiences affect your emotional body, pleasant or not so pleasant. A constant nonverbal exchange between your emotional and physical body is required in order to maintain balance. With in the balance practicing relaxing Yoga, hiking, eating well, visiting your doctor and even energy healing creates a deeper connection with the self.
The tall thin woman returns to my office on a monthly basis. Before each session she begins with forgiveness of herself and an affirmation to heal. She uses affirmations as a reprogramming of the brain and her emotional body. In turn she is able to heal the deep wound in her stomach. It goes beyond just thinking a new thought process. At first just a small want to change then becoming a belief system. With just one step of forgiveness of herself, she has been able to transform her life. Her choices in healthy foods, her kinder demeanor, she truly has let go of her guilt.
This process is mastered over a life time. A true understanding of your mind body connection is learned over a life time of experiences. So wake-up, enjoy the ride and give yourself a little more understanding. The mystery of your health and how you heal lies with in you. I wish you Peace and Light on your journey to heal.

An Intuitive Guide to Knowing Yourself

I began writing this article with several drafts sounding scientific and intelligent. I typed through 3-4 paragraphs then scrapped the idea. At one a.m. when my intuitive voice seems to be the loudest thing in the house, it said to me “Corey, write what’s in your heart and how you feel; you’re an intuitive for goodness sake, feel your way through it.” So as you sit reading this article, I am reading you.

Your intuition is the hair that stands up on the back of your neck when you enter a room, an instant connection to a person you just met, knowing who is calling moments before the phone rings. It’s a feeling and a small voice at first, yet the more you exercise it and listen to it, the feeling becomes stronger and the voice becomes louder. So now you know the mystical secret of the psychics, mediums and intuitives; we are all gifted. Now that you have been awakened; will you choose to exercise this ability and use it to benefit your daily life?

When we are children and our subconscious mind is open and forming, we use our intuitive voice to guide us. As the years go by, our conscious mind forms creating a protective covering over the subconscious. At this point, most humans put their intuitive voices to sleep. We dismiss what has come so naturally.

Just like a muscle, your intuition must be flexed and exercised to strengthen it. Intuition comes in many forms. Clairaudience is hearing the intuitive voice. Clairsentience is feeling the intuition within your own body. Clairvoyance is seeing your intuition. How your intuition comes to you depends on the type of person you are. Understanding how you perceive the world on a conscious level will give you a clue into how you perceive the world on a subconscious level. Think for a moment how you learn in your environment. Must you see a task visually before performing it? Is simply hearing auditory directions enough for you to understand? Or is performing the task yourself manually how you comprehend. I have found in my journeys that people with learning disabilities have strengthened intuition because of the simple fact that they must feel their environment to function with the world around them.

Mediation is one of the best ways to start the strengthening process. Through mediation you will reinforce your visualization skills and the ability to listen to your inner voice. Pick a small object to focus on, like an apple. Look it over, paying attention to all the details of this apple: color, size, texture, smell. Get comfortable, quiet, and close your eyes. Create the apple in your mind. Try this for a few days until your picture becomes clearer. Now go inside, slipping into the apple in your mind. Observe and note your findings. Is there a bruise you can see only internally? Is it sweet? Can you smell it? Notice all the feelings that you get with this apple. Do you see its past in the orchard or hear a voice of the worker who picked it? At this point you are reading energy. You are listening to your intuitive voice. Continue this exercise until you feel you have mastered it. Remember that visualizing in your mind does not have to be crystal clear like a photograph. It is a picture and the feelings that surround that picture. This skill can take a few days or weeks depending on the person.

Intuition facilitates us in how we communicate with others. We can depend on it to guide us in our daily life. If only we all opened ourselves up to listen, not just to ourselves but the feelings of the person sitting next to you, your neighbor, even across the world from you. Intuition would serve as the much needed empathy the human race needs. It is a ripple effect that begins with you and me.
